Bruichladdich

Prestigious Islay Malt Whiskey already marketed since the early eighties in the Horeca world. Located in the westernmost part of the island of Islay, the Bruichladdich Distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers. Closed in 1994, it was reopened only in 2001, and is today the only independent distillery on the island. Bruichladdich still uses original machinery from the Victorian era, and does not use any computers to control production.
Its products all have a natural color, without any addition of caramel, and are bottled without cold filtration, to preserve the entire aromatic heritage of the blends. The aging is carried out on the island, and thus gives the Whiskeys a marine note. Bruichladdich's Master Distiller, Jim McEwan, is unanimously considered one of the greatest living distillers.
